Pentaho Data Integration comes in two varieties:

  • Download Talend Open Studio software or test drive our enterprise products. Get started today with over 900 connectors and components to integrate anything.
  • Check the Supported Technologies list to see which version of Java Pentaho supports. Download the supported version of the JRE or JDK from the Oracle site and install it. If you plan to install the software on a Mac OS, and you choose to use PostgreSQL, you need to increase the amount of memory that the Mac OS allocates for PostgreSQL.

You can download Pentaho Data Integration Community Edition from Sourceforge.net.

Prerequisites

PDI requires the Oracle Java Runtime Environment (JRE) version 7. You can obtain a JRE for free from Oracle.

Installation

Pentaho Open Source

PDI does not require installation. Simply unpack the zip file into a folder of your choice.

On Unix-like operating systems, you may need to make the shell scripts executable by using the chmod command:
